This past weekend our G-son had YBO tournament in Sanford. We've been in the Orlando area and frequent to Sanford for years. Across the street from Crooms Academy of Information Technology is a Breakfast/Lunch restaurant called Pook Bear! I'm a Southern Girl from Alabama and their Breakfast was amazing. We orders Bacon Grilled Cheese, Double Bacon BLT, Thick cut Ham, Cheese/Egg Sandwich, Sausage Patty Breakfast Sandwich, & has anyone ever heard of Sausage Fried Won Tons? Oh yes, all was delicious and I do apologize that I didn't get any pictures, but we were Hangry!

A bit of an identity crisis. An Asian owned and operated soul-food inspired breakfast and lunch greasy spoon considered "country cooking". And it's for all those reasons I dig this super inexpensive tiny place in the middle of a residential area. Extremely friendly service, low-cost food, decent portions, and quick cooking. I love a good greasy spoon and am a sucker for friendly operators, so I'll be hitting up this place more often.
CONSISTENT !!!! Pook Bear is IT for breakfast in the Sanford area. Always good food fast and she remembers you ! I've never had a bad experience there. Will surely be going back and referring people to them as well.
Great food. Fast service! Everything is always good! The ox tail looks s to die for! Pook bear and her husband are awesome. Always a pleasure coming here. Oh and don't forget to get a lemonade!!
Was visiting from out of state and found this place purely by accident. Don't let the decor fool you, the food is legit. I've been to many so called "soul food" places across the country but I can tell you Pook Bear holds their own and then some. I was particularly impressed by the service. They treat you like family. I was able to have a chat with the owners and I have to say Pookie and her husband are down to earth good people. Hard workers...salt of the earth. Give those place a try. You won't regret it.
Excellent service! The food is prepared with a lot of love. The portions are hefty and the price is easy on your pockets. The lemonade is always on point.
